The public healthcare app of the Generalitat Valenciana is a key tool in the relationship between citizens and the healthcare system. However, its recent update highlights significant shortcomings in terms of usability, accessibility, and interaction clarity.
It explores an analysis and redesign exercise focused on improving critical user flows, with the goal of ensuring that anyone—regardless of their level of digital literacy—can complete essential tasks autonomously and without friction.
The methodological approach combines a heuristic evaluation based on Nielsen’s principles, accessibility assessment aligned with WCAG standards. The proposed improvements focus on optimizing the design system, enhancing the clarity of calls to action, and humanizing the language.
